Music is a living heritage in Lucca, a soul that resonates through its squares, festivals, and world-class museums. From the monuments dedicated to the city's great composers to the Giacomo Puccini Birthplace Museum, every corner tells a story of genius.
In the Cattedrale di San Martino, where the Puccini family served as organists for generations, the historic organ still breathes life into the sacred silence under the fingers of the world’s finest masters. Beyond the majestic walls, a world of elegance awaits: a landscape defined by rolling Tuscan hills, silver-leafed olive groves, and the ancient villages of the surroundings valleys.
This territory is home to sumptuous villas such as Villa Reale and Villa Torrigiani, architectural masterpieces that hide Baroque green theaters, secret grottoes, and sophisticated water gardens. For those seeking the ultimate Puccini experience, the journey can extend to Torre del Lago. Here, you can visit the Maestro’s beloved lakeside residence or choose to spend an evening at the Grand Open-Air Theatre during the Puccini Festival.
This is a journey to be savored in every season—a perfect harmony of culture, nature, and "slow living"—reaching its peak during the enchanting nights of the Summer Festival.
