Our journey begins visiting heart of Ferrara: the Castello Estense, Cathedral of San Giorgio and Town Hall in its beautiful medieval city center.
Our second stop is Abbazia di Pomposa, one of the most important abbeys in northern Italy, dating back to the 9th century. Continue to Comacchio is a lagoon city, rich in natural beauty and historical heritage, built between land and water, often called the “Little Venice,”.

Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Friday, 10th April 2026 - Arrival in Ferrara
- Arrival by own means in Ferrara
- Meeting with our local guide and visit of the Castello Estense, the medieval city center, dominated by the impressive Cathedral of San Giorgio, and by the Town Hall (formerly the Ducal Palace)
- Leisure time to explore the city at your own pace
- Free dinner and overnight
Day 2 - Saturday, 11th April 2026 - Ferrara / Comacchio
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Depart for an excursion to the Abbazia di Pomposa. Continue to Comacchio, often called the “Little Venice,” is a lagoon city, rich in natural beauty and historical heritage, built between land and water
- Lunch in a typical restaurant
- Afterwards, enjoy a guided visit including the Cathedral
- Return to your hotel in Ferrara and free dinner
- Transfer by own means to the Teatro Comunale
- 8 pm: La Traviata. Opera in three acts with a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave, based on the play La Dame aux Camélias by Alexandre Dumas fils. Music by Giuseppe Verdi.

Sunday, 12th April 2026 - Day 3 – Ferrara / Modena / Ferrara
- Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Transfer by own means to Modena
- Our local guide will lead you through the beauties of Modena and its musical landmarks. Starting from Novi Ark Archaeological Park, Town Hall and the Teatro Pavarotti-Freni. Close by, you can see the bronze statue in his honour. The visit will also include the magnificent Modena Cathedral, a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Free lunch
- Transfer by own means to Casa Pavarotti Museum. The exclusive tour (with internal guide) will let you explore the various rooms and discover anecdotes about the great tenor
- Transfer by own means to Acetaia Malpighi: one of the main exporters of the culture of true traditional balsamic vinegar’s Modena PDO and balsamic vinegar’s Modena PGI all over the world. A guided tour will show and explain the production phases (with internal guide), followed by tasting of Balsamic Vinegar in different types of aging, from 5 years to 25 years, combined with special seasonings, like apple, fig, orange, saffron, white truffle, and black truffle

Sunday, 12th April 2026 - Day 3 – Ferrara / Bologna / Ferrara
- Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Transfer by own means to Bologna
- Visit of the Sanctuary of San Luca, possibility to access the panoramic viewpoint, accessible via a spiral staircase. Along the way, enjoy the iconic Portico di San Luca
- Transfer to the historic center for a stroll through the Quadrilatero district, Bologna’s traditional food market area
- Free lunch
- Stop by the Municipal Theatre (from the outside), and visit Piazza Rossini, where a statue of composer Gioachino Rossini honors the city’s musical legacy. A short walk leads to the Bologna Conservatory of Music. End the day in Piazza Maggiore, the main square, surrounded by stunning medieval architecture
- Transfer back to the hotel in Ferrara by own means
