The Magic Flute at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza
Music and art between Vicenza and Padua
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's most symbolic work and music are brought together in one of the most extraordinary places of the European Renaissance.
Highlights:
- The Olympic Theatre: The fixed perspective scene represents the streets of Thebes, creating an unprecedented illusion of depth
- The Bisazza Foundation: A truly Venetian story: that of a company that grows in the region, engages with the world, and chooses to give its love of art back to the community
Tour duration: 4 days / 3 nights
Recommended period: October 23/26 2026, especially in combination with Vicenza Opera Festival programme
Discover Vicenza, a city of ancient and modern art, home to Palladio and opera.
Our journey begins with a visit to the heart of Vicenza: the Scrovegni Chapel with its extraordinary cycle of paintings by Giotto, the Baptistery of Padua Cathedral, and Palazzo Bo, the headquarters of the University, one of the oldest and most evocative buildings in Padua.
Our second stop is the Gallerie d'Italia, in Palazzo Leoni Montanari, which houses the precious collections of 18th-century Venetian art and Russian icons.
A visit to the Teatro Olimpico is a must, one of Vicenza's jewels, a magical place where history, art, and entertainment merge: the only example of original Renaissance scenography still in existence. What better occasion than to see it during the Vicenza Opera Festival? Attend the opera The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflöte) and enjoy a magical performance at Vicenza's Teatro Olimpico!
To conclude on a high note, we'll visit the Bisazza Foundation: an original and ever-evolving hub where art, architecture, and design meet and intertwine.
